Kansas Learning First Alliance (KLFA) Kansas Learning First Alliance is a partnership of 27 leading educational associations that have come together to "Make Kansas first in the nation in teaching and learning." The Alliance represents an unprecedented, self-initiated commitment to develop and deliver a common message to all parts of the education system, align priorities, share and disseminate success stories, encourage collaboration at every level, and work toward the continual and long-term improvement of public education based on solid research. Three areas focus KLFA efforts: 1) student achievement; 2) professional development, and 3) public engagement.

State Library of Kansas State Library of Kansas -- The KS State Library provides information services for state and local governments, for local libraries and their users, and for people who communicate with the library in the Capitol Building or at its other service locations. The KS State Library supports a variety of literacy initiatives through its annual Kansas Reads to Preschoolers programs and special children, youth, and family literacy-related projects and programs.

Kansas Migrant Parent Advisory Council (MPAC) Kansas Migrant Parent Advisory Council (MPAC) -- The KS MPAC educates parents to become strong advocates of their children's education and leaders in their communities as well as responsible and culturally sensitive citizens. An MPAC advises the state department and its local operating agencies on concerns of migrant parents that relate to the planning, operation, and evaluation of the migrant education programs and projects in which their children participate. The goal is to engage parents and schools in developing partnerships and building ongoing dialogue to improve student achievement.
