| Zoe Thompson
has been with the KPIRC since its inception in 2002, heading the Business/School/Family
initiative. One aim of this initiative is to help employers recognize the
value of family friendly policies and how they support both business and
family involvement and participation in schools, and to help develop the
link between productive business and parents. Zoe is also the Program Coordinator
for Kansas Families and Schools Together, Inc., the non-profit organization
that oversees the KPIRC program. Zoe received her J.D. in 1988 from Thomas
Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, and spent the next 10
years as a litigation attorney. Following a year with the Kansas Heath Institute
as Director of Operations, Zoe became involved in the education field in
2000, working for the Northeast Kansas Education Service Center as a program
coordinator, grant writer and evaluator, for various programs such as career
and technical education, physical education and alternative schools. |
