The RTLP is a unique, forward thinking coalition of public and private sector professionals dedicated to leveraging federal funds with for-profit and not-for-profit resources to creates highly engaging media products and sustainable outreach services fun and educational television shows, toys, and other products designed to develop young children's emergent literacy pre-reading and reading skills. with a primary emphasis We have a special interest in serving on the needs of children from low income families.
Get Ready To Read Get Ready to Read! is a national campaign to build the early literacy skills of preschool children. The program brings research-based strategies to parents and early education and child care providers for helping prepare children to learn to read and write.

  Read to a Tot, "No Matter What"
Kansas Reads….to Preschoolers is a project of the Kansas State Library created to highlight the importance of reading to children, and also to highlight the library as a renewable resource of reading material. The goal is that every Kansas child between the ages of 0 – 5 (all 226,453 of them!!) will be read to during National Children’s Book Week, Governor Sebilius is the honorary chair of the project.
