The Kansas Parent Resource Center, federally funded under Title V of No Child Left Behind, is the official Parent Information Technical Assistance Center for the state of Kansas. We are one of a national network of 60 PIRCs and are funded for five more years (2006 through 2011). The KPIRC works hand-in-hand with the KSDE State and Federal Programs office in providing you information and resources on early childhood through high school parent involvement.

Kansas Families and Schools Together, Inc. - the non-profit organization that operates the KPIRC program - was recently awarded a two year grant from the Sunflower Foundation in Topeka, Kansas, to support Family Fun, Food & Fitness Events in K-12 schools across Kansas ! This grant will help schools statewide fund and plan family/community events that engage parents, students, staff and community in practicing healthful behaviors. Click here to go to the application to see if your school is eligible to apply for one of the mini-grants to host a Family Fun event ! Don’t delay! Application deadline for Fall 2008 is September 15, 2008!
