Child Care Aware of Kansas

Child Care Aware of Kansas, formerly Kansas Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies, is a statewide network of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (R & R's) covering all of the 105 counties in Kansas. Child Care Aware is funded by Kansas Social and Rehabilitative Services (SRS). There are sixteen regional offices in the state of Kansas. The central office is located in Salina, KS. Services provided to families include: 1. Assess the familys' child care needs through brief information gathering phone interviews. 2. Provide information on the variety of child care choices available to the family from in-home care to child care centers. 3. Provide families with useful and understandable information about quality indicators in child care. 4. Make referrals to other community services as needed and advocates on behalf of families, when appropriate. 5. Feedback received from families about satisfaction with service provided.
