PAT Update: Where Does a Good Start in School Begin?

All of these activities will help you, as your child's first and most important teacher, get your child “ready to learn.” Learning begins at birth, if not before, and will keep going during your child's life. Parents as Teachers parent educators help parents know how the brain grows and develops in these early years and suggest ways parents can make the most of these first years of life. PAT believes that a good start for school begins at birth. This information brief in English and Spanish, provides information on how the PAT program helps parents support their child as their child's first teacher.
