PAT Update: Key Parents as Teachers Outcomes: A Research Overview

As a research-based parent education and family support program developed over 20 years ago, evaluation has been integral to the success of the Parents as Teachers program since its inception. The first evaluation of PAT was funded through a contract from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Subsequent studies have been supported by the State of Missouri and other states, independent school districts, and private foundations. A few studies have been carried out by individual researchers. This information brief provides an outline of outcomes from these studies.
