All parents want their children to be successful in school and in life. To have confidence in their abilities, enthusiasm for discovery, and the know-how to pursue their own goals. The responsibility for nurturing, caring for and educating children belongs to the parents. But as children reach school age, schools become partners with parents in their education by helping them build basic skills they need to know as they progress from grade to grade. Children become surrounded by a wealth of learning opportunities at home, at school and in the world around them. Parents play a key role by instilling good attitudes and habits at home that become the building blocks of life long learning. This program is about helping parents understand ways of supporting learning at home so that their children can become independent learners and achieve greater success at home and throughout life.
